Condensation Inside CB1

Condensation Inside CB1

The most common cause of condensation inside a Code Blue pedestal-type unit (CB1) is because there is not at least a ½ inch gap at the bottom of the unit to allow air flow inside.  The bottom of the unit should not be sitting directly on the concrete pad.

Sometimes landscaping materials are pushed around the units to seal them off or in the winter months it may be snow.  Make sure you have a proper gap and you will likely clear up the issue.  If it persists we do have an “active vent” option available for purchase.  The active vent is our normal clear dome top lens at the very top of the unit that includes a solar powered fan to help with circulation.
